Greetings,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Rho Xi Omega Charities, Inc, I welcome you to the Charities section of the website.

Established in 1991, Rho Xi Omega Charities, Inc. a 501 (c)3, is the charitable arm of Rho Xi Omega Chapter. Our mission:  Committed to Service and Scholarship supports and funds the Chapter's Programs of Service.

Programs have always been the heartbeat of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. since its inception in 1908. Currently the Chapter is ensuring that the programs support the theme established by the International President, Global Leadership Through Timeless Service. Highlights of this Program are:  Emerging Young Leaders (EYL), Global Poverty, Social Justice, Economic Security, and Health Initiatives.

Over the last 20 years Rho Xi Omega Charities, Inc. has funded two signature programs:  Camp Font-Tastic, a summer computer camp on the campus of Morgan State University and the After School AKAdemy, an after school program for middle school girls at the Arena Playhouse. Likewise we have supported for over 20 years Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Maryland.

Through Rho Xi Omega Chapter, Rho Xi Omega Charities awards annually scholarships to deserving students one of which is the endowed scholarship at Baltimore City Community College. Additionally, we are able to make charitable donations to causes we hold dear such as the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Monument and the Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF) of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
